A look inside the Korea Electronics Show – CCL’s debut!
The Korea Electronics Show (KES) is one of the biggest tech events in Asia. In October 2024, CCL made its debut! We had the opportunity to connect with industry experts, make valuable connections, and hand out hundreds of Cecil bears 🧸. During the show, we highlighted how our Outright Buy service and Consignment Partnership help suppliers achieve the highest live-market valuations for their excess stock.
Our stand
Our stand was designed to be inviting, professional, and striking. It displayed multilingual materials to attract attention and reinforce our global branding. Naturally, our highly skilled team supported our multilingual design with languages including Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and English. We highlighted key features of our Outright Buy and Consignment Partnership with clear messaging, allowing visitors to instantly grasp who CCL is and what we do.
The KES Experience
Since this was our first time exhibiting in Korea, we were excited to introduce CCL to the Korean market. With nearly three decades of experience, we saw KES as the perfect opportunity to connect with Korean companies. Korea is home to some of the world’s biggest electronics manufacturers, making it an ideal place to build new partnerships
Although booth traffic started slow, the high-quality leads we gathered more than made up for it. As the week progressed, we became extremely busy! Our British identity helped us stand out, as did our Cecil bears and multilingual materials, which were both huge hits! To maximise opportunities, we split the team between managing the booth and networking with other exhibitors, a strategy we stuck with for the whole week.
We were eager to visit the French Pavilion, where Western AI and high-tech companies were exhibiting. There was less of a language barrier in this area, so we were able to communicate efficiently with more in-depth discussions.
Final Thoughts & Next Steps
CCL’s first time at KES was a major success! Not only did we have the opportunity to showcase CCL and our purchase options, but we also built valuable connections with key players in the Korean market. The insights we gained will definitely help guide our approach as we continue to grow our presence in Korea and the Asian market.
A big thank you to the whole team: Alex, Iris, Raine, Abigail, William, Roy, and our amazing interpreters, Brenda & Minho – for helping make this event such a success.
